YES Communities, one of the nation’s largest owners and operators of manufactured home communities, announced today that Julie Elkins has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer effective immediately. Julie brings over two decades of experience in multifamily real estate and is widely respected across the industry.
Julie’s former role as Chief Accounting Officer began three years ago at YES Communities in 2015. In her tenure as CAO, Julie was instrumental in the company’s restructuring and integrating the recent acquisitions into the company’s portfolio. Prior to YES! Communities Julie held various accounting and finance roles for Aimco and Chateau Communities. Julie is a CPA and graduated from the University of Colorado.
Steve Schaub, Chief Executive Officer said, “Julie is a dynamic leader and has a proven success in managing the accounting division here at YES Communities. Her strong business acumen and financial understanding will be a huge asset in the CFO role. As Chief Financial Officer, Julie will be responsible for driving YES Communities economic growth and overseeing all financial and accounting functions. She has a deep knowledge of and experience in accounting, treasury, and financial operations.

Chris Stopps, who is an original founder of YES Communities and served as CFO since 2007, will be retiring and serving in an advisory role through December 31, 2018. “We have been so fortunate to have Chris on our team and build upon the success of our business. We truly appreciate all of her work over the past eleven years and wish her all the best,” said Steve Schaub.
