It’s the most wonderful time of the year! No, it’s not Christmas, it’s back to school time! Gone are the days of the kids waking up early to play outside or watch cartoons; now your Sunday nights will be spent prepping the kids backpacks, reading over homework and making sure their favorite t-shirt is washed and ready to wear on Monday.

At YES communities, we are just as excited for back to school as you, the parents, are! We want to make sure our residents are as prepared as possible. Our communities all over the country are holding back to school parties for our residents with free school supplies including backpacks filled with notebooks, pencils, folders, pencil boxes and much more!

Here are just a few parties that happened in our communities to get the kids back to school.

• On Saturday, August 10th, over 400 residents in the Mesquite area in Texas, gathered at the Arbor Springs Community Centre and enjoyed, BBQ, supplies, haircuts, face painting; while also learning about home safety by the Dallas Police and Fire Departments.

• Our Oaks of Atlantic Beach community in Florida, stuffed over 80 backpacks with supplies for a back to school giveaway party that included a pool party and treats for the community!

• Our Grand Oaks Community in Tennessee collaborated withtheir local elementary school, Powell Elementary to hand out school suppliesincluding backpacks!
